Elizabeth Owen was a Managing Editor at NewsGuard. Most recently, she worked at the fact-checking organization Lead Stories, where she edited English, Ukrainian, and Russian-language fact-checks. She also worked in Prague as the English editor for RFE/RL’s Current Time TV, a Russian-language broadcaster, and in Tbilisi as a regional editor for Eurasianet.org, a nonprofit online news outlet. Earlier, she produced websites at Thirteen/WNET New York and at TIME.com, after launching her career in Moscow as a reporter for two English-language dailies. Owen holds a master’s degree in international relations from Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
